In the year 2000 a young man by the name of Ramsey decided he wanted to start a little digital design company. So he sold the farm, loaded up the truck and moved into a broom cupboard on Langham Street in the big city of London, England. There was barely enough room for his 3 employees and a rubbish bin let alone a broom. Despite the cramped quarters the little company called 'Blumedia' was officially on its' way.
In March of 2002 prosperity continued to find Blumedia and Blumedia found a bigger office. The operation gathered up its floppy disks and Zip drives and moved around the corner to Great Titchfield Street where things really gained momentum. The client list was growing faster than a chicken on steroids and 4 shiny new people were employed to satisfy the mounting workload, bringing the company's headcount up to 11.
Months went by and Blumedia began to outgrow its britches yet again. As a result, just before Halloween of 2004, they packed their laptop bags and moved to their current digs at 35 Percy Street – the palace of wisdom.
In the spring of 2005 Blumedia did a marvellous thing. The new office was already an inspiration and the team had grown again with the addition of 3 capable young gents and two lovely ladies. It made sense to change the company's name as a reflection of the new and improved assembly of talent. An internal competition was held to rename the outfit whereby the lucky winner would receive a Bic pen and a six-pack of Stella. Armed with a crackerjack incentive, the team went to it and came up with a cavalcade of possible name changes. In the end a coin was tossed. "Head" won.
So here we are and the story continues.
The above tale has been translated into a Haiku for your pleasure:
Once Blumedia
Goodbye my old broom cupboard
