Ruby Developer
Job type: Permanent Full Time
We are looking for a Ruby developer who is happy working in both Rails and non-rails frameworks, including Sinatra, Padrino, or Merb. Strong SQL experience, as well as a tendency to experiment with NoSQL data storage systems, and an interest in service oriented architectures is a big plus. So is the ability to dip into C, if necessary, to deal with source code for compiled rubygems.
Most of our recent work involves innovation and problem-solving which falls well outside "normal" web application development, and our upcoming project work is the same, so if you thrive on new challenges, this is the right job for you.
The successful applicant:
- happily maintains 100% test coverage on projects as a matter of course
- has an active interest in developing and releasing open / free code
- experiments with all kinds of cutting-edge technology but is cynical enough to know when to use a simple SQL select over distributed map-reduce
