User Experience Designer

We're looking for two new entry level User Experience designers to join our UX team. We want you to have loads of fresh ideas about designing experiences and be ready to learn how to create compelling experiences for our clients. You might not have much experience but you're bursting with enthusiasm and you've read Cooper, Krug and Garrett cover-to-cover.

Our UX Designer will create simple and engaging user experiences of innovative digital products and services. They will work in small teams with other researchers, designers, technologists and project managers to deliver those experiences and be responsible for communicating their designs through the usual set of UX deliverables. They'll need to understand the user-centered design processes and show some talent for user experience research and design. In return we'll help you get amazing experience of working in a design studio for top clients.

 You'll need to show us that you have an aptitude for...

  • Understanding peoples' needs, tasks, and goals and translating them into creative concepts that match and meet business needs and objectives
  • Creating engaging, compelling and delightful experiences
  • Speaking different types of people (while being interesting and insightful). For example you'll be expected to present to colleagues, discuss designs with clients, hold research sessions with users
  • Learning to draw, write and explain the full set of user experience deliverables
  • Writing stuff down in a way that is understandable and gets respect
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how user experience translates to technology
  • Be ready to present your work and describe your rationale
  • Understand the basic principles of cognitive psychology, interation design and information architecture (at least some of them)

Our UX Designer will be interesting, have a passion for design and experience and be able to tell us about that in an interview or design exercise. They might have qualifications in design, computer science, psychology or other related disciplines.
